This work is a mixed media piece uses the concepts of ice and water to bring about the image on the canvas. The abstract begins with the melting of ice and continues into rivers of water and mist that run down the canvas and off the picture plane. Water droplets serve to heighten the effect by dispersing themselves throughout the piece and creating a rain-like texture across the surface of the piece.
Water is the mesmerizing subject of this artwork, it is the metaphor of its movement that is created here. Colors warm and cool mix together to complete the abstract and give it a quality that will keep the viewer’s attention.
